What is special about Heavenly Heat Saunas?

When you’re investing in a home sauna, especially for detox, mold recovery, or long-term health, the last thing you want is a unit that exposes you to more toxins or high EMFs.

Heavenly Heat Saunas are built with natural wood, zero adhesives and low EMFs and claims to be the safest and cleanest sauna in the world. But do their saunas actually live up to their claim? And do they still perform well?

What are infrared saunas?

An infrared sauna is a type of sauna that uses light, specifically infrared wavelengths, to heat your body directly rather than heating the air around you. Instead of relying on intense, ambient heat like a traditional sauna, infrared panels emit a gentle, penetrating warmth that raises your core temperature from the inside out. This allows you to sweat more deeply at lower temperatures, making the experience more comfortable while still delivering powerful benefits like detoxification, improved circulation, muscle recovery, and relaxation.

What are the benefits of infrared saunas?

Infrared saunas offer a range of benefits for both physical and mental well-being:

  • Detoxification - Infrared saunas heat the body from the inside out, helping you sweat at a lower temperature than traditional saunas. This deep, penetrating heat supports the release of stored toxins from the body through the skin pores, promoting detoxification and cleansing. Because infrared works more gently, you can often sweat more efficiently and comfortably, which makes detox sessions easier on the nervous system.
  • Relaxation and Stress Relief - Infrared light stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, helping the body shift out of a stressed state. The gentle warmth relaxes muscles, releases tension, and promotes a deep sense of relaxation.
  • Improved Circulation - Infrared wavelengths penetrate deep into tissues, warming muscles and dilating blood vessels. This leads to increased circulation and can help to improve cardiovascular health, reduce blood pressure, and enhance blood flow to muscles and organs.
  • Skin Health - Steam saunas open up pores and increase blood flow to the skin, which can improve skin tone, texture, and elasticity and collagen production. Sweating may also help to clear out pores and reduce breakouts. Many people notice brighter, clearner skin with consistent infrared sauna use.
  • Respiratory Friendly - Unlike steam saunas, infrared saunas don’t add humidity to the air. This makes them ideal for people who struggle with: Asthma, sesonal allergies, respiratory sensitivity and mold-related breathing issues.
  • Pain Relief: Infrared heat penetrates deeper than traditional saunas, reaching muscles, joints, and connective tissues. This deeper heat can reduce muscle soreness, ease joint stiffness, speed up reovery after workouts and support chronic pain conditions like arthirits.
  • Mental Clarity: Infrared sauna sessions often feel grounding and meditative. The combination of warmth, quiet and increased circulation can help promote mental clarity, reduce anxiety and improve mood.

Setup

I opted for the white-glove delivery, which meant two installers built the entire sauna for me in about 20–30 minutes.

For assembly you do not need a drill for the main cabin structure, as panels are pre-drilled and click together with pre-aligned connectors. However, a drill is recommended (or a screwdriver) for installing optional components.

If you’re building it yourself, it'll likely need 2 poeple and should expect it to take up to 45 minutes. Everything is designed for disassembly if you plan to move in the future.

The sauna connects to a standard 110/120V household outlet, eliminating the need for complex electrical work or professional installation. I recommend using a 15–20 amp breaker on a dedicated circuit, (no other devices should be connected to the same line) as this helps prevent overheating, tripping, or other electrical problems.

Build Quality

Here’s where Heavenly Heat separates itself from 99% of the sauna industry:

✔ 100% pure Canadian hemlock wood

✔ No stains

✔ No glues

✔ No plywood

✔ Low VOCs and EMFs

This is a game changer as most sauna companies use adhesives, composite boards, or “non-toxic” coatings that still off-gas under heat. Heavenly Heat completely avoids that. Their units are independently tested for VOCs.

For anyone with mold sensitivity, chemical sensitivity, autoimmune issues, or on a detox protocol this is a massive deal. When you’re investing in a home sauna, especially for detox, mold recovery, or long-term health, the last thing you want is a unit that exposes you to more toxins or high EMFs.

I expected this sauna to dominate my space. Instead, it’s surprisingly compact and ideal for smaller homes or apartments

Dimensions:

  • Width: 47 inches

  • Depth: 43 inches

  • Height: 75 inches

Features

Inside the sauna, you’ll find a simple, intuitive control panel with the essentials:

Heating & Controls

  • Adjustable temperature up to 165°F
  • Adjustable session timer up to 60mins
  • Heater on/off button
  • Soft-touch interface

Lighting

  • Light on/off
  • Color-changing LED settings

Audio

  • Built-in Bluetooth speakers mounted behind the ceiling

Ventilation

  • Two manual adjustable vent on the ceiling for increased airflow

Low EMF Panels

Every infrared panel is positioned behind wooden slats, ensuring your body never sits directly against the heat source to improve comfort and reduce EMF exposure.

This sauna doesn’t include red light therapy, but Heavenly Heat does offer models that integrate red light panels for those who want that option.

Ease of Use & Experience

Before stepping inside, I grabbed my Trifield EMF meter to confirm whether the sauna lives up to its “lowest EMF on the market” claim. An EMF typical safe range is between 3-5mG and most readings landed around 0.9 mG. This is genuinely one of the lowest-EMF saunas I’ve ever tested.

I started my session at at 140°F and hit the timer. 6 minutes in I began to lighly sweat, 10 minutes full river sweat and by 20 minutes i was drenched. Infrared heat in this sauna feels different, it creeps up on you gradually. It’s not aggressive or overwhelming. Instead, it warms you deeply until suddenly, you're dripping. The wooden slats prevent your back from touching the panels directly, avoiding the uncomfortable “burn spots” I’ve experienced with other infrared saunas.

Maintenance, Pricing and Warranty

Because the wood is light, you’ll want to lay a towel on the floor to prevent dirt stains, especially if you walk around barefoot like me. A towel also protects the wood from sweat, moisture buildup, and potential mold issues. Other than that, maintenance is minimal.

The 2 person infrared sauna costs $7,400 at retail, so is definitely a premium model.

Heavenly Heat provides an impressive 10-year warranty, which speaks volumes about the quality and durability of the materials. This is extremely rare in the sauna industry and shows the comoany expects this sauna to last a very long time.

Who Is It For (and Not For)?‍

✅ People sensitive to toxins, VOCs, chemicals, or EMFs
✅ Individuals detoxing from mold, heavy metals, or chronic illness
