What Is The Heavenly Heat 2 Person Red Light Infrared Sauna?
The Heavenly Heat 2 Person is an infrared sauna with a red light therapy panel built into the cabin, made by a company that produces the lowest EMF saunas on the market. I brought my EMF meter to test that claim and a thermometer to see how hot the cabin actually gets. Below is the build, the readings I got, what the session felt like, who I think it suits, and my total wellness score. Let's dive in.

I'm about 5'7, so that gives you an idea of how tall this thing is.
Setup
You order it and it gets dropped off at your house. There is an option to upgrade to white glove delivery where they build it for you. If you're doing it yourself, I highly recommend using at least two people, and you should be able to get it done in about an hour.
The pieces go together like Lego, and there are latches on the side that cinch everything together. I asked the CEO whether you can break it down after it's built and move it, and he said absolutely. Those latches make that easy.
One of the best parts is that the sauna runs on a traditional standard outlet. Because of the added red light therapy, though, you will have to plug that into a separate outlet.
Build Quality
One of my favorite things about this company is that they make their saunas out of pure Canadian hemlock. That wood is the best for no off-gassing and no VOCs, and the company uses no glues. A lot of sauna companies need adhesives to hold the pieces together, and when you heat adhesives up they off-gas. Heavenly Heat has also been third-party tested for VOCs.
So if you're after the cleanest experience possible, if you're highly chemically sensitive, or you've got something intense going on, this lines up with the specifications you need for the safest detoxing experience inside a sauna.
The rest of the cabin feels like a very luxury experience. The glass is super solid, and there's no smell at all, which is strange if you're used to saunas, because normally there's a really strong aroma.
EMF Testing
Normally when you're testing for EMFs you want your levels somewhere between three and five. Anything below that is ultra low EMF.
Outside the cabin, my meter read zero. Sitting on the bench inside, it was still zero, which is the lowest I have ever seen inside any sauna. I held the meter directly against the panel and it stayed at zero. That is better than the first time I tested their other sauna, so they must have somehow improved it. This is as good as you can get. It is literally zero.
The red light panel read zero as well; a little bit up close, but not much, and when I switched the meter to the magnetic setting it was just as low, the same as the ambient reading outside. It does go up a little if you put the meter directly on the red light therapy device, but you would never put your face on the device. Move less than two or three inches away and it drops off substantially into the safe range.
The reason they can hit these numbers is a Faraday cage wrapped around all the electrical components. The entire sauna is shielded to protect you from harmful EMF.
Features
Red light therapy panel. There's a switch at the bottom where you choose red and near infrared, set the time, or turn it off. They designed it so you can sit all the way back against the bench and still get the full radiance at all the frequencies that are clinically proven to give you the benefits of red light and near infrared. With a lot of companies you have to be about six inches away to get the full benefit, which usually ends up with you being blasted by EMF. Heavenly Heat set it up so you can sit further away, because the EMF drops off so significantly with distance. Based on the research I've done, it seems like the best time to use the red light is while the sauna is heating up, since you get more benefits at the beginning before your core temperature gets too high.
Control panel. Power on and off, temperature up and down, session time, cabin light on and off plus the color you want, and Bluetooth if you want to play music, a podcast or a meditation.
Temperature. The panel showed 175°F as I dialed it up, which is pretty awesome for an infrared sauna. Most will not get that high.
Heat distribution. The panels go all the way down to your feet, and there are even panels behind your calves. Not all saunas have that, so you don't get as even a heat distribution elsewhere.
Speakers. They sit behind the wood, which I think is great, because you don't have a weird plastic thing sticking out and getting heated up.
Vent. There's a vent for more airflow. If you know anything about CO2, that build-up is usually why you have to get out of a sauna, so opening the vent gets you more air.
Interior outlet. There's a little outlet inside, so you can charge your phone or anything else during your session.
My Experience
Bring towels in with you. It's a light wood, and over time sweat will stain it. Towels prevent damage to the wood and any moisture or mildew build-up, and they help the sauna last.
My thermometer read 166°F when I got in. I put a towel on the floor and one on the bench, set the timer to 20 minutes, and it was already freaking hot, especially in front of the red light.
It had literally been three minutes and I was dripping sweat. I think something about the combination of the red light therapy and near infrared with the actual sauna heat is helping it heat up faster and helping my core body temperature go up a lot faster. It actually gets pretty hot for an infrared sauna. Normally it's very challenging to get up to 166°F in an infrared, especially in a two person cabin.
I got out at five minutes because it was so hot. Good sweat. I love the Heavenly Heat sweat. It feels super deep, but it also gets really, really hot, so it's like the benefits of the higher temperatures in a traditional sauna, but with infrared heat, which just hits different.
Two people fit inside comfortably. I have a similar model at home without the red light therapy device, and we've actually fit three, but someone has to sit on the ground or stand. So you could squish three in. There isn't enough room to fully lay down. I'm a short king, 5'7ish on a good day, and I can hang out in there, but it's not the full lay-down bench experience. The cabin is super cozy and the contoured bench is perfect.
What I'd Change
I have two pieces of feedback for this company. The first is that I feel like it's easy to burn your back on the heaters, so maybe there's a way to add more ribs or move your back further from the panel, especially if you're leaning back. The second is that I don't love that the bench isn't secured. It moves around a little and I feel like it should just latch.
The only other thing they're missing is a panel on the front, and the red light therapy device is essentially in its place.
Maintenance, Pricing and Warranty
Maintenance is what I mentioned above. Put towels down before your session so they catch the sweat and the wood doesn't get damaged over time.

Heavenly Heat gives a 10-year warranty, which is really great. You don't see a lot of companies give you that long, and it means they really stand behind their products.
Who Is It For (and Not For)?
This is the right sauna for you if:
- You're concerned about EMFs or toxins in your environment. This is one of the best companies on the market, if not the best. They're the most stringent and they go to the most lengths to ensure safety for the people inside the sauna.
- You're willing to pay a premium but you want the best. Out of all the products I've ever reviewed, and I've reviewed hundreds at this point, Heavenly Heat is up there with some of the top. They're leading the industry in taking this seriously. If you like to buy the best and just know that everything's good, this is it.
- You're going through some kind of detox right now, you want to proactively detox, and you want the ultimate healing sanctuary.
- You want the red light therapy and infrared sauna combo. There aren't a ton of companies doing this, and not many doing it at the level Heavenly Heat is.
- You want to use it with your spouse, your partner or your friends and invite them over to enjoy it with you.
- You love efficiency. You can run the two modalities one after another and get it all done in a short window, because this gets up to such a high temperature, which not a lot of infrared saunas do. You'll get the work done a lot faster.
This is not the right sauna for you if:
- You have budgetary constraints. This is definitely on the higher end. Heavenly Heat is a premium brand making premium products, so if the budget isn't there, look elsewhere. I've made a bunch of videos about budget saunas.
- You want a big party sauna. This is clearly the two person. Heavenly Heat's 4 Person is really more like a six, seven or maybe even eight person unit, and it's an absolute beast, the craziest sauna I've ever experienced.
- You're in a smaller place like an apartment or a townhome. If you want something that takes up less space, I made a review of the Heavenly Heat Eco, an epic sauna, so that might be the one for you.
- You don't care about the red light therapy. There's a two person without the red light, and that's the one I have in my home.
Total Wellness Score
- Quality: 10/10. Best-in-class product. Everything is really nice, very thoughtful with the design and with keeping everything clean from an environmental perspective. They smashed it.
- Service: 10/10. When I ordered mine and it arrived it was so easy, so effortless. They set it up and it happened so quickly. What else can you ask for?
- Price: 5/10. It's a pretty expensive sauna. If this is important to you then it's well worth the investment, but it comes at a premium price tag. Depending on the sale they're running, and with my code on top, it starts to get a little more reasonable.
- Experience: 10/10. One of my favorite products I've ever reviewed. I love how it feels, I love how hot it gets, and everyone who tries it loves it too.
- Daddy factor: 10/10. This is it. This is daddy mode.
